Growth is always possible!
Dear Friends,
As I sat at my desk last week, I could hear children laughing in the cafeteria below. Spring break brought a special kind of joy to our shelter—an energy that is contagious. It was a reminder that childhood should be filled with moments of happiness, even during uncertainty.
The giggles and playful shouts served as a beautiful contrast to the challenges families face. Our Success Team put together special programming last week to engage with kids inside and outside of the House. They did arts and crafts and played in the park. Children remind us that while circumstances may be difficult, hope is alive and well.
Stepping outside, I see the first signs of spring bursting forth—buds on the trees, birds returning, the sun shining just a little longer each evening. It is as if creation itself is whispering reassurance: new life is always possible. Just as God faithfully renews the earth, He continues to renew the spirits of those we serve. He is so good to provide the beauty of nature as a reminder that no season lasts forever, and brighter days are ahead.
For the families who walk through our doors, the future can feel uncertain. They have left behind situations of hardship, carrying with them only the hope that life can be different. At Freedom House, we get to walk alongside them in that journey, offering them more than shelter—we offer them dignity, faith, and the belief that God has not forgotten them. But we could not do this without you.
Your generosity is the foundation that allows us to provide stability, resources, and a pathway forward for families. Because of you, we can offer warm beds, nutritious meals, life-skills training, and—most importantly—a community of support that reminds them they are not alone. Your kindness reflects God’s love, providing tangible hope to those in need.
As we embrace this new season, I am filled with gratitude—for you, for this community, and for the privilege of witnessing transformation in the lives of families. Thank you for being part of this mission. Thank you for believing that change is possible. And thank you for continuing to walk with us in faith as we trust in God’s provision for all.
May this spring bring renewal and abundant blessings to you and those you love.
